Genius Hour #6 Reflection

Participating in Genius Hour has been a gift from my last class of EdTech at USF!  Here, we were given an opportunity to add to our "To-Do" list the assignment of spending two hours a week on something that WE are personally passionate about! ...and it was a treat!!

Through this process, I learned there is no underestimating the power of taking time for yourself, and as a result, caring for mind, body, and spirit.  This built upon the strength I felt throughout every step of the day!  During these last few weeks, including the time to do yoga during the busy work week, made me feel so much more able to accomplish the MANY things that I, like so many, are responsible for each day, i.e., as a working mom, wife, teacher, and student!

I didn't always meet my weekly goal, but it's okay because it's not over.  I have learned to journey outside of my comfort zone of yoga sculpt class and participate in other types of classes like C2.  I want to continue to schedule myself "in", during the workweek, to practice and enjoy the benefits of different types of yoga classes.   I haven't mastered a handstand off the wall yet, but I did learn how to do a headstand!
